JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) Advanced is conducted by the seven zonal IIT’s with guidance from the Joint Admission Board (JAB). Candidates seeking admission in bachelor’s programs and integrated master’s programs appeared for this exam. Those students who successfully qualify JEE Mains exam held in the month of April, are allowed to go for the next exam named JEE ADVANCED conduct in the month of May, the registration starts from starting May, only after JEE Mains result. The admit cards can be downloaded from their official registration portal where each candidate is having its own application number comprises of both alphabets and numeric values (highly secured). The admit cards are the passes that you have to carry for this event on exam’s day. The time period from registration till exam is very small, so keep yourself updating every day regarding the important dates. Admit cards of JEE Advanced are issued few weeks before the commencement of examination.

After successfully filling the application form by filling the required particulates and paying the exam fee, you can download your admit cards after 10 days of submitting the form. JEE Advanced is held for the admissions into IIT’s, and IISc and other colleges considering its score for admission. This exam not considers, JEE Mains marks in preparing the final merit. Only about 2.4 lakhs of students who qualified JEE Mains, appeared for this exam and only top-eight thousand are filled with IIT seats.

The admit cards are to be carried by the students during the exam day along with ID proof. This exam is held in offline mode, but this year in 2018 it is going to be conducted in online mode. After the exam, the answer key is released in the starting week of June and finally the result is declared in the month of ending June informing the qualified candidates through e-mail and message in their registered mobile number. Then the admission procedure starts at here also you have to carry your admit card as a proof. So, you can see that how mandatory is the admit card even after the exam.
Important: It may often sometimes, that there occurs some kind of error/discrepancy in your admit card then contact the Chairman, JEE Advances of the respective zonal coordinating the exam. Also, check all the details print out in the admit card that they are correct otherwise contact the said authority before the exam because it is used for verification purpose at the examination centre.
