The eligibility criterion of the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) 2019 has been released by the National Testing Agency (NTA). If you are a medical aspirant, you are advised to go through the entire eligibility criteria of NEET before applying for the same. NEET 2019 Eligibility Criteria – Age Requirement
According to the eligibility criteria of NEET specified by NTA, students who are applying for NEET 2019 must have completed 17 years of age on or before December 31, 2019. Qualifying Marks for NEET
- To be eligible to appear for NEET 2019, students must have passed in Physics, Chemistry, Biology/ Biotechnology and English individually in the qualifying exam.
- Applicants who are from the unreserved category must have passed Class 12 or any other equivalent examination with at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology collectively.
- Candidates who belong to Scheduled Caste/ Scheduled Tribe/ Other Backward Classes are required to score a minimum aggregate of 40% in Physics, Chemistry and Biology/ Biotechnology in Class 12 examination.
- For persons belonging to PwD category, a minimum aggregate of 45% for General-PH and 40% aggregate marks for SC-PH/ ST-PH/ OBC-PH are required in HSC examination.

NEET Eligibility Criteria for NRI/ Foreign Students

There is nothing like the maximum number of attempts for NEET 2019. According to the eligibility criteria of NEET, candidates who wish to appear for this examination can apply for the same as many times as they wish provided they fulfil the above-mentioned eligibility criteria.
NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – 15% All India Quota Seats/ Deemed Universities/ ESIC and AFMC Colleges
- After qualifying NEET 2019, students will be considered eligible for 15% All India Quota Seats.
- Applicants who are of J&K origin are not eligible for 15% All India Quota seats. However, students who have filled a self-declaration form are eligible for the reservation. Students need to submit this form along with NEET application form 2019.
- 85% available seats of DU and other Institutional Quota seats of AMU are reserved for those candidates who have passed Class 10 and 12 from Delhi and the AMU itself.
NEET Eligibility Criteria 2019 – 85% State Quota Seats
- The 85% state quota seats include 85% seats of the government colleges of the States/ Union Territories. The concerned authority will conduct the counselling for such seats separately. Some states or union territory will also ask for domicile of the applicant while granting admission to state quota seats.
- The admission to private colleges will be also be granted as per the policies of the State/ Union Territory.
