All You Need to Know About the JEE Main Registration Process

As we all know that from this year, the National Testing Agency (NTA) will conduct the JEE Main twice in a year. This is a national level entrance examination which is conducted for engineering aspirants for admission to IITs, NITs, CFTIs etc. JEE Main 2019 will be conducted only in the online mode. JEE Main will be conducted in two sessions i.e. in January and in April, 2019. Candidates will be able to register themselves for JEE Main 2019 April session from the month of February. Important aspects related to JEE Main Registration 2019

NTA will release the application forms of JEE Main 2019 on its official website. In order to fill the application form, candidates need to register themselves on the official website of NTA after which they have to submit all the details such as personal, academic qualification and communication details in the application form. After entering all the details in the application form, candidates also have to submit a requisite amount of application fee. Important Dates

JEE Main 2019 January session has already been commenced. Students still have one option left i.e. they can fill the application form for the April session of JEE Main. The important dates pertaining to JEE Main registration 2019 is provided in the table given below:

Procedure to upload photograph and signature

Candidates are required to upload scanned copies of their passport sized photograph and signature at the time of filling the JEE Main application form. The steps to upload the photograph and signature are given below:

• The photograph of the candidates must bear candidate’s name and the date of capturing must be inscribed on it.
• The image must be in the jpg or in jpeg format.
• The size of the scanned photograph must be between 4 kb and 40 kb and the dimension of the image should be of 3.5 cm (width) and 4.5 cm (height) respectively.

Similarly, in order to upload signature, candidates are required to follow the below mentioned specifications.

• The signature should be in neat handwriting in blue or black pen.
• The format of uploaded image is jpg or jpeg format.
• The size of the scanned image of signature should be between 1 kb to 30 kb.
• The dimension of the uploaded signature should be 3.5 cm (width) and 4.5 cm (height) respectively.

Application Fees

In order to submit the JEE Main application form, candidates have to pay a requisite amount of application fee in online mode using Credit/ Debit Card/ Net Banking and offline through e-challan. The application fee of JEE Main 2019 is provided in the table given below:

Documents required at the time of Registration

There are some documents that need to be uploaded while filling the application form. Candidates must be ready with the documents mentioned below while filling the application form:

1. Scanned copies of passport sized photograph and signature
2. Signature of candidate’s guardian
3. Aadhaar Card
4. Mark sheet of Class 10 and 12
5. Credit/ Debit Card, Net Banking details

How many times candidates can register for JEE Main?

Candidates are required to register themselves twice if they want to appear for both sessions of JEE Main 2019. They will be able to register themselves for April session of JEE Main 2019 in the month of February.
