Q1. Is JEE Main 2019 online or offline or both?
Ans. Paper I of JEE Main 2019 will be conducted in the computer-based test (CBT) mode whereas Paper II, will be conducted in partially online and partially offline mode i.e. Part I and II (Mathematics and Aptitude Test) will be held in CBT mode and Part III i.e. Drawing Test conducted in JEE Main Paper II will be held in pen paper-based test mode.Q2. What is the exam pattern of JEE Main Paper 1?
Ans. The duration of Paper I of JEE Main will be 180 minutes and the question paper comprises Multiple choice questions. There will be a total number of 90 questions from the subjects of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. For each correct answer, candidates will get 4 marks and for every incorrect answer, 1 mark will be deducted.Q3. What is the exam pattern of JEE Main 2019 Paper 2?
Ans. The JEE Main Paper II will be conducted in both offline and online mode. The Mathematics and Aptitude Test will be conducted in Computer Based Test (CBT) mode whereas Drawing Test conducted in JEE Main Paper II will be held in pen paper-based test mode. The duration of examination will be 3 hours and it comprises 30 questions from Mathematics, 50 questions based on Aptitude and 2 questions will be there to test the drawing aptitude of the candidate.Q4. What is the difference between the JEE exam pattern 2019 for Mains and Advanced examination?
Ans. The examination pattern of both JEE Main and Advanced is different. Paper I of JEE Main will be conducted in CBT mode whereas Paper 2 of JEE Main will be held in CBT mode for Mathematics and Aptitude section of the paper and Drawing Section will be conducted in offline mode. However, JEE Advanced will be conducted only in CBT mode. Unlike JEE Main, the exam pattern of JEE Advanced is not fixed and it changes every year. The Paper I and Paper II or JEE Main are optional whereas in case of JEE Advanced, both the papers are compulsory and candidates have to attempt both of them.Q5. What will be the medium of JEE Main Paper I?
Ans. The JEE Main Paper I will be available either in English or in Hindi language.
