Vital Information of IIT JEE Mains 2020 and NEET 2020
In this article we will get to know about the eligibility criteria and the exam pattern of NEET and IIT.
Let us first begin with the JEE Main Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifying exam: Candidate should have passed class 12 or qualifying exam in 2018 or 2019. Candidate appearing in class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply for JEE Main.
Age Limit: There is no age limit.
Number of attempts: JEE Main candidates can participate in the entrance exam for 3 consecutive years. The exam will be conducted twice a year, they may appear in both the attempts. The attempt for an academic year will be considered as one.
NEET Eligibility Criteria:
Qualifying Exam: Candidate should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent from a recognized board. Candidate appearing in Class 12 or equivalent qualifying exam in 2020 can also apply for NEET.
Age Limit: The aspirant should be of a minimum of 17 years as on December 31,2020.
Number of Attempts: No limit
JEE Main Exam Pattern:
Exam Mode: Computer-based test mode
Exam Duration: 3 hours
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics
Total number of questions: 75 (Each subject will have 25 questions)
Type of Questions: 20 Objective questions having 4 options each with only 1 correct option. 5 Numerical questions with numerical value as answer
Marking Scheme
For MCQs: 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
For answer with numeric value: 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 0 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
Maximum Marks: 300
Medium of paper: English or Hindi (Candidates from Gujarat, Daman & Diu and Dadra and Nagar Haveli can opt for Gujarati as well)
NEET Exam Pattern:
Exam Mode: Computer-based test mode
Exam Duration: 3 hours
Subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Biology , Zoology
Total number of questions: 180 (Each subject will have 45 questions)
Type of Questions: 180 Objective questions having 4 options each with only 1 correct option.
Marking Scheme
For MCQs: + 4 Marks will be awarded for every correct answer and 1 Mark will be deducted for every incorrect answer
Maximum Marks: 720
