KCET-2020 Application Form Out Again
The Karnataka Examinations Authority, the conducting body of the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) has released the official notification regarding the reopening of the application process of KCET- 2020. The decision to extend the dates of registration for the aspirants of KCET has been taken in the light of the recurring requests by the candidates and their parents.
The registration link will be activated on the official website of the KCET on March 7, 2020 and will remain active till March 16, 2020. Candidates can pay the application fee till March 18, 2020.
Important Details
The Karnataka Common Entrance Test is held once a year in the offline mode. The exam, which comprises two papers, Paper I and Paper II are of one hour twenty minutes duration. There are 211 participating colleges, who will accept the KCET score to grant admissions within their institutes.

Revised Dates
The Application forms have been reopened for the KCET 2020 session. Students can apply for the exam between March 7, 2020 and March 16, 2020. Last date to pay the application form fee is March 18, 2020. Application form correction window will be opened from March 19 to March 25, 2020. During this time slot, the applicants can correct their submitted forms, in case of any discrepancy in the details.
Hall tickets will be released on April 10, 2020 , allowing all the eligible candidates to sit for the KCET 2020. KCET 2020 is going to be held between April 22 to April 24, 2020. Result will be declared in May 2020.

Reservation Criteria
Candidates must check whether they fall in any of the reservation categories, as given in the table below, in order to avail the reservation facilities.

Reservation for Reserved Category Candidates | Candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Other Backward Classes of citizens under categories 1, 2A, 2B, 3A and 3B have to produce “Caste Certificate / Caste Income Certificate” issued by the concerned Jurisdictional Tahasildar. |
Reservation for Rural Candidates | 15% of the Government seats will be reserved for rural candidates who have studied for ten full academic years from Class 1 to Class 10 in educational institutions situated in places in the State of Karnataka other than larger urban areas, smaller urban areas or transitional areas. |
Reservation for Kannada Medium Candidates |
5% of the Government seats will be reserved for the Kannada medium candidates who have studied ten full academic years in Kannada medium from Class 1 to Class 10. |
Reservation for Ward of J&K Migrants | Reservation will be given to the son / daughter of Jammu & Kashmiri migrants, who satisfy the eligibility condition and produce all the required documents at the time of document verification. |

What details are required to fill in the application form?
The aspirants will be asked for their name, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail i.d etc , during the registration process. Application form will require the aspirants to fill in their personal, correspondence and academic information. The candidates will have to upload their scanned photograph and signature according to the given specifications.

Step II : Register yourself by providing the pre-requisite details, along with a working mobile number and e mail i.d
Step III : Fill in the KCET application form.
Step IV : Submit the application form, after filling in all the details.
The Way Ahead
Download the KCET 2020 admit card, without which a student will not be allowed to appear for the examination. Preserve the admit card, till the date of the admission process. After appearing in the KCET exam, it is advised to keep checking for the updates on the date of result of KCET, which is yet to be declared.
