BITSAT 2020 Eligibility Criteria

BITSAT is an entrance exam conducted by Birla Institute of Technology and Science. BITS has four campuses in Pilani, Goa, Hyderabad and Dubai. BITSAT is for admission of the aspirants into one of the Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad campuses. This exam is for those aspirants wishing to take admissions into Engineering, BPharmacy and Integrated First Degree Programmes. It is conducted online in English. The exam is of 3 hour duration and is in Multiple Choice Question format. It is held nation-wide across 50 centres throughout the country and in Dubai. BITSAT is held once every year. BITSAT 2020 will be held in the month of May.

BITSAT 2020 Important Dates

BITSAT 2020 application form will be released on January 11, 2020. Last date to apply is March 31, 2020. BITSAT 2020 exam will be held online in various cities across the country, between May 16, 2020 and May 25, 2020.

How to Check the BITSAT Eligibility Criteria

Qualifying Examination	Candidates must have passed their Class XII from a recognized central or state board.
Qualifying Subjects	Candidates must have passed their Class XII with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics as compulsory subjects along with adequate proficiency in English.
Qualifying Marks	Candidates must pass their class XII with a 75 percent aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Candidates who opted for Biology must have a 75 percent aggregate score in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Candidates must also score 60 percent individually in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.
Age Limit	Candidates who have passed their class XII in 2020 or 2019 will be eligible to appear for BITSAT 2020

Eligibility: Key Pointers

1. For admission to all the programmes except B Pharm: Candidates should have passed Class XII examination from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English.Candidates with PCM may also apply for the Pharmacy program.
2. For admission to B Pharm: Candidates should have passed Class XII examination from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English.
3. Only those students who are appearing for Class XII examination in 2020 or who have passed Class XII Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2020.
4. If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in Class XII or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
5. Students who have passed Class XII examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT 2020. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2020.

What are the criteria for admission in BITSAT 2020?

Admissions are granted purely on merit. Merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in BITSAT 2020.

Toppers of central and state boards in India for the year 2020 will be given direct admissions to the program of their choice irrespective of their BITSAT 2020 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.
