BITSAT 2020
BITSAT 2020, one of the most awaited exams of the year, will be conducted in the month of May or June 2020 tentatively. Conducted by the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, this is a University level exam, for all the students who wish to study engineering in one of the 3 campuses of BITS, which are BITS-Pilani, BITS-Goa and BITS-Hyderabad. The examination is conducted in the Computer based mode in English and is of 3 hour duration. In order to apply for BITSAT 2020, the candidate must fill in the online BITSAT application form, which will be released most probably in the month of January 2020. BITSAT - An Overview
BITSAT (2020), or the Birla Institute of Technology and Science-
Admission Test, is an endeavor of the Birla Education Trust which was founded
in 1929. The BITSAT came to be first conducted in 2005 as an All India entrance
examination for admission into various engineering (B.E), under- graduate
(B.Pharm), post graduate and integrated courses. The performance of the
students in the BITSAT determines their selection. There is massive competition
for the BITSAT 2020. This is because of the appeal it holds in terms of the
infrastructure,academics and placements. One of the other crucial factors as to
why it holds mass appeal is because it is based on the NCERT syllabus which is
followed by the CBSE schools. This exam tests the aspirant’s conceptual
knowledge as well as the application of the concepts.

BITSAT Application Form
The BITSAT Application form is generated
online and is generally submitted in the month of December and it is conducted
in the months of May and June. But for the year of 2020, the registration is
likely to start in January 2020, with the exam being conducted in the third and
fourth week of May 2020.
How to apply for BITSAT?
In order to
participate in the BITSAT 2020, the candidate must follow the given steps :

Eligibility of BITSAT
The candidate should
have obtained a:
- Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects (if he/she has taken Mathematics in BITSAT)
- Minimum of aggregate 75% marks in Physics, Chemistry and Biology subjects (if he/she has taken Biology in BITSAT) in 12th examination.
- At least 60% marks in each of the Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics/ Biology subjects.
Important Points to be Noted
- For admission to all the programmes except B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics and adequate proficiency in English. Candidates with PCM may also apply for Pharmacy program.
- For admission to B. Pharm.: Candidates should have passed the 12th examination of 10+2 system from a recognized Central or State board or its equivalent with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology and adequate proficiency in English.
- Only those students who are appearing for 12th examination in 2020 or who have passed 12th Examination in 2019 are eligible to appear in the BITSAT 2020.
- If a candidate has taken more than one attempt in 12th class or its equivalent, only his latest performance is considered, provided this attempt has been for the full component of subjects/courses prescribed.
- Students who have passed 12th examination in 2018 or earlier are NOT eligible to appear in BITSAT 2020. Students who are presently studying in BITS at any of its campuses are not eligible to appear in BITSAT 2020.
- Admissions will be made purely on merit. The merit position of the candidate for admission will be based on the score obtained by the candidate in the BITSAT 2020.
- The toppers of all the central and state boards in India for the year 2020 will be given direct admission to the program of their choice, irrespective of their BITSAT 2020 score as per the eligibility criteria mentioned above.

Admit Card
The hall ticket of
BITSAT 2020 is issued to only those candidates who have done the slot
booking before the last date. Candidates must keep their BITSAT admit card in proper condition and carry it to the exam
center on the due date of the exam. Soft copy of the admit card is not accepted
at the centers.
Result of BITSAT
The result of
BITSAT 2020, will be most probably declared in the months of May or June
2020. In accordance to the BITSAT rank
list, the counseling sessions will proceed. A score card will be generated. The counseling will be done purely on the basis of the merit list of BITSAT.
Information regarding the BITSAT answer key is however not released as of yet.
BITSAT Counseling Schedule
The registration for
the counselling of the BITSAT 2020 will
tentatively commence from the third week of May 2020. The counselling will be
made on a variety of iteration basis. The below table gives the necessary
