BioChemistry
Summary
Biochemistry, also referred to as Biological Chemistry, combines together the disciplines of
the subjects - Biology and Chemistry. Simply said, it is the study of the internal and external
chemical processes that occur with living creatures. Biochemistry tries to gain the
knowledge of organic organisms through the detailed study of biological molecules, and the
chemical processes that occur within the living cells. Using their understanding, biochemists
attempt to analyze and solve biological problems. They are also involved in the Research
and Development departments of various institutes and work on innovating and designing
new drugs, medical methods and much more. Thus, they make significant contributions to
the scientific and medical fields with new innovations, solutions to existing problems,
multiple areas including health, agriculture and environment.
