# Eligibility for CBSE Class XII
Every exam has its eligibility criteria which is binding for the candidates. There students need to meet the same in case they have to appear in the exam. Eligibility criteria for the regular students is that they have to be declared pass in Class XI exams from a CBSE board or any other government recognized board. The student must be pursuing studies in Class XII.
Those who failed in Class XII exams earlier can give the board exams as a private candidate. Following is the table for other candidates who can appear in CBSE Class XII exams as private candidates.
Teachers serving in institutions affiliated to CBSE, who have already passed Class X examination at least two years before taking Class XII examination. The teacher should submit their application form along with a certificate from the Head of school they are serving for. The certificate should be duly countersigned by Director of Education of the State/Union Territory. |
Women candidates who are residents of NCT of Delhi and have passed Class X at least two years prior to appearing for CBSE Class XII. Differently-abled students who passed Class X at least two years before appearing CBSE Class XII exams. They will have to produce reasonable evidence of deficiency that made them unable to attend school for the purpose of studies. |
Women and differently-abled private candidates should meet the following additional conditions that they privately pursued the prescribed course of studies under proper guidance and they are unable to join CBSE class Class XII or there are compelling reasons for them to appear CBSE Class XII exams as a private candidate. |
Application Process for CBSE Class XII
Application process is to be followed for appearing for the board exams of Class XII. Completing the application for the exam is a very important step that the students must follow. The schools give the relevant instructions to the candidates for the form filling. Examination form for CBSE Class XII board exams is given to the students by the school authorities.
Application fees have to be paid at the time of submitting the form and even private candidates are required to pay the fees while submitting the CBSE application form. Three copies of passport-size photographs are needed for the same.
It is very important that the students follow this process for the application form because if the application is not filled properly they won't get the admit cards and they cannot give the exam.
