JEE Main Counseling 2020

Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) conduct and the authorized department for JEE Main 2020 counselling & seat allotment process. Candidates who have cleared the exam need to remember the date of the overall process of counseling. It will be done in online mode from June 15 to the last week of July. What you will have to do is to register on the official websites of JoSAA for JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020. You will have to go through with the mock test before final counseling and seat allotment.

JEE Main Counselling and Seat Allotment 2020

Procedure of JEE Main Counselling & Seat Allotment 2020

Step-1: Registration - First of all visit the JoSSA official website and register for JEE Main 2020 counseling and seat allotment process.

Step-2: Choice Filling & Locking - Followed by registration, candidates need to fill the choice for college and courses for undergraduate Btech/Barch courses.

Step-3: Seat Allotment Process - The allocation of the seat will depend on the availability of seats, preference & merit of the candidates. However, they will be a mock round test before the seat allotment process.

Step-4: Fee Payment & Seat Acceptance - Once you complete the choice filling, you need to choose one from the below option:

Float: If a candidate wishes to keep the allotted seat and also want to upgrade their seat, they can choose this option.

Freeze: In case, candidates are satisfied with their allocated seats and do not want to participate in further rounds of counseling, they can select this option.

Slide: If candidates wish to accept the allotted seat and want to upgrade the program in the same institute, they can select this option.

Withdraw: If any candidates have already accepted the seat allotted, they may withdraw the seat by reporting at the allotted institute before the final round of seat allotment.

Step-5: Documents needed at the time of verification:

JoSAA seat allotment letter (Provisional)
Three passport size photographs (the same as uploaded during registration)
Photo identity card
Proof of fee payment (seat acceptance)
Proof of Date of birth
JEE Main 2020 Admit Card
Class 12 Mark sheet
JEE Main Result/Score Card 2020
Category certificate (if applicable)

Step-6: Final reporting at the allocated Institution - So, now you have reached the final round of seat allotment and counseling, the candidate needs to report and pay the closing fee of the college. Your admission gets confirmed once you submit and confirm the final reporting.

JEE Main 2020 Special Round Counselling :JoSAA has its department for seat allotment process for admission to vacant seats in IIITs, NITs, and GFTIs. It is called The Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB). So if you are still left don't lose hope. You can try in the CSAB 2020 registration which is done in the last week of July in online mode. This is the last chance if you are lucky enough to get a seat in the IITs and other respective institutes.
