- In case, the total graded marks of a subject are not out of 100, then those will be scaled to 100, so that total aggregate marks can be calculated out of 500.
- If the examination Board grants alphabetical grades only, without any provision of an equivalent percentage of the grades, then the candidate will have to submit a Certificate issued by the Board, specifying the equivalent marks of grade obtained by him or her, at the time of seat allocation. In case the candidate fails to do so, then the final call will be taken by the Joint Implementation Committee.

- For the candidates, who had appeared in Class XII Board or equivalent examination initially in 2019 and reappeared in all the subjects in 2020 the best of the two performances will be considered.
- If a Board of examination grants the aggregate marks of both Class XI and XII, then only the XII standard marks will be considered.
- If a Board of examination grants aggregate marks, considering the marks scored in all of the three years in a Diploma course of equivalent duration, then only the marks scored in the final year will be considered.
- If a Board of examination follows the Semester system, then the marks scored in the final two semesters will be considered.
- If a Board of examination does not grant marks scored in individual subjects, but only the aggregate score, then only the aggregate score will be considered by the officials.
