About NEET
National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) is an exam for students in their 12th standard who wish to pursue undergraduate medical (MBBS) and dental (BDS) courses in private or government medical and dental colleges in India, it is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), the results are provided to Directorate General of HealthServices at Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Before test was conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education along with Prometric Testing Private Limited (US), NEET has replaced All India Pre Medical Test (AIPMT) and all other MBBS admissions related exams conducted by states and colleges since 2013, As per the orders from the Honourable Supreme Court of India NEET will be the only exam for admission to admission to medical and dental colleges in India thus all colleges will accept students based on their NEET scores
Syllabus
The syllabus for NEET is all the core concepts taught in physics, chemistry and biology in 11th and 12th standard Science stream as prescribed as National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT)
Eligibility criteria for NEET 2024
The eligibility criteria for appearing for NEET 2024 is as follows
1)Candidate must belong to any one of the following categories
- Citizen of Indian
- Overseas citizen of India ( OCI )
- Non resident Indian ( NRI )
- Foreign Nationals
2)Candidate must have successfully completed 10+2 examination or must appear 10+2 exam in the current year with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English as mandatory subjects
3)Candidate’s age must be at least 17 years as on 31st December 2024
4)Candidates should have scored minimum qualifying percentage as per the following

NEET 2024 registration
The registration details for NEET 2024 are as follows
1)Registration process for NEET 2024 will start in the first week of December
2)Entire registration process will be held online
3)Candidate should submit only one form, multiple submissions may lead to rejection of the application
4)Students should enter working mobile number and email address as further communication will be carried out only through those modes only
5)The correction window will be available between third week of January 2024 to last week of January 2025
6)Payment can be completed either through offline or online mode
7)Application fee is Rs 1400 for candidates belonging to General/OBC category and Rs 750 for candidates belonging to SC/ST category

NEET Admit Card
Admit card will be available from last week of March 2024 to download, admit card can be downloaded only be logging on to the NTA portal, candidates must immediately report discrepancies if any in their admit card
NEET Answer Key
Answer Keys will be uploaded online in the second week of may along with OMR sheets, in case of any discrepancy students can challenge the answer key, Rs 1000 will need to be paid per challenged question, candidates will receive 100% refund if their challenge is accepted
Other Instructions
1)Answers once marked cannot be changed
2)There is no restriction on the maximum number of attempts
3)In the first week of June result will be declared and candidates will be available to download their scorecards from the NTA website
