NEET Result
The NEET exam result is likely to be released on June 5 on the official website of the examination authority i.e. the National Testing Agency (NTA). Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on the official website of NTA to get timely updates regarding NEET Result 2024 date. The minimum cut off for NEET will be 50% for the candidates belonging to General Category and 40% for Reserved Category candidates. The score card of NEET consists of the All India Rank of candidates with the quota and category, overall marks, section wise marks and percentile. The counselling of NEET will commence after the declaration of NEET result 2024. In NEET there is no provision to re-evaluate or re-checking of the answer sheets. After the declaration of NEET cut off, NTA will release an All India Merit List which consists of the names of the qualified candidates with the corresponding NEET Rank.How to check NEET Result?
In order to check the result of NEET, candidates have to follow the below mentioned steps in order:
- Visit the official website of NTA and then click on “NEET Result” tab
- On clicking, the NEET result page will appear on the screen
- Enter roll number and date of birth to get the result
- On entering the necessary information, click on ‘Submit’ button
- On submitting, the result will display on the computer screen
- Take a print out of the NEET result and keep it safe for future references

The score card of NEET will be valid only for one year. The NEET score card will be available only online. The details given on the NEET score card are given below:

NEET Answer Key
The answer key of NEET will be released on the official website of NTA a few days after the commencement of NEET. With the help of the answer key, candidates will be able to check their rough score in the entrance test. The answer key of NEET will contain right answer to all the questions given in the NEET test paper. In case of any doubt regarding the answer key, you can challenge the same online by paying Rs. 1000 per question.NEET Merit List
The merit list of NEET will be made on the basis of the highest marks secured by the students in the entrance test. NTA prepares the merit list for the 15% All India Quota seats. Candidates will be allotted admission to the medical colleges based on their rank in the merit list.Tie Breaking Criteria used in NEET Merit List
To prepare the merit list of NEET, NTA uses the tie-breaking method (if needed). Tie breaking method is used in case candidates score equal marks in the entrance examination. The tie-breaking system used in NEET is given below:- Candidate who score higher marks in Biology in NEET will be given preference for admission
- If the tie still persists, candidates with higher marks in Chemistry in NEET will be selected
- If the tie still persists even after following the above two methods, then candidate with less number of incorrect questions will be given advantage
- After applying all the methods mentioned above, the tie still persists, candidate who is older in age will be selected.
NEET Counselling
After the declaration of NEET result, candidates will be called for NEET counselling, based on which they will be granted admission to the medical institutes. It is mandatory for all the students who have their names in the NEET merit list to attend the counselling of NEET.
