About NEET
NEET is a medical entrance exam for admissions to Medical (MBBS) and Dental ( BDS ) courses in India post 12th, students currently pursuing 12th or those who have already cleared 12th science exam with Physics, Chemistry and Biology as mandatory subjects are eligible to apply for NEET, it is a route to admission to either government or private medical colleges in India, it is conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA), the results are provided to Directorate General of Health Services at Ministry of Health and Family Welfare.
Before 2019 Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) used to conduct NEET along with Prometric Testing Private Limited (US), NEET has replaced All India Pre Medical Test ( AIPMT ) and all other MBBS admissions related exams conducted by states and colleges since 2013, As per the orders from the Honourable Supreme Court of India, NEET will be the only exam for admission to admission to medical and dental colleges in India thus all colleges will accept students based on their NEET scores.
